2026 May 10- – AT F10 – Field Trip FCPD

AT F 10 5/10/26

Today I arrived at class at exactly 9:05. I brought my notebook, pencils, Salah sheet, and memorization sheet with me. I learned many new things that can help me become a better person, and it was also very interesting. When I walked into the room, I said salaam to everyone and put my shoes on the rack. After I had read my morning prayers. Then I started to practice my salah sheet.

Then LG said that we are going to go to the police station now. So then we got separated into 3 cars. Then we got there. So when we went inside police officer #1 telled us to tell our names. Then one by one we told our names. After the 2 other officers introduced themselves and the police #1 officer did too. After he showed us some slides about the different types of officers, what they had on their badge, and the # of how many officers were in each section of police officers, and what kind of dogs they had.

They said that the badge is the most important part because that means you were honored to be a police officer. And police officer #1 said that some police officers ride different vehicles like BIKES!!! Then after that we saw the interviewing rooms.

Then officer #1 said that they were handcuffed to the seat just in case they tried fighting with the police officer. They have 3 seats 1 for the prisoner and the other 2 for the police officers. After that, we got to look at their police vehicle. It was awesome to see all the equipment inside. We heard some of the siren noises. We thanked everyone for their service before we left the station.

Another memorable moment was when the officers let us ask questions about their daily routines and experiences. Some students asked about the scariest moments they had faced, while others wondered how they stay positive when things get tough.

The officers shared stories about helping people in emergencies and working late nights to keep the community safe. Hearing these real-life examples made me appreciate how much effort goes into protecting our neighborhood, and it taught me that bravery doesn’t just mean chasing criminals—it means caring for people and making difficult decisions every day.

When we got back, we ate pizza, which was the best part for some of us. Then LG, our teacher, told us he didn’t really like our essays and didn’t like us doing these kinds of things. That made us feel a little bad but to also be responsible for what we needed to do. At the end of the day, we had to memorize our Salat Memorization sheets before we finally went home. I didn’t do so well and LG told me that I would be suspended from this program if I kept slacking on the parts I didn’t memorize.

Overall, the field trip was fun, and I learned a lot about what police officers really do. I also learned that I need to be responsible for my own successes, which is optional for those who.
