2026 May 10- ST F13 -Field Trip FCPD

ST F 13 5/10/26

Today I arrived at class at exactly 9:05. I brought my notebook, pencils, Salah sheet, and memorization sheet with me. I learned many new things that can help me become a better person, and it was also very interesting. When I walked into the room, I said salaam to everyone and put my shoes on the rack. After I had read my morning prayers, LG told us to grab chairs and sit down next to him. LG told me to go outside and test out with one of the teachers. Soon after I was tested, the teacher told me I really needed to study more if I kept on slacking. I nodded with agreement and headed inside. LG then told us we needed to go on a field trip, so we went on a carpool and headed to our destination.

On our field trip, we visited the Fair Oaks Police Station. It was really cool because we got to meet three people who work there. The first person was named CH. He was very friendly and told us about his duties at the police station. The second person was Ms.B. She seemed really nice and explained how she helps people in the community. There was also another girl, but I didn’t catch her name. She talked about her job too. I asked many questions to the police and replied to a very logical answer.

They showed us the uniforms they wear and explained why each part is important. I learned that police officers don’t just punish criminals or prisoners. They also strive to help people and ensure everyone stays safe. They showed us how they interview people who have done something wrong, and it was interesting to see how they ask questions to find out the truth inside separate rooms. During the lectures, they showed us different kinds of police officers who are willing to keep the community safe.

After that, we got to look at their police vehicle. It was awesome to see all the equipment inside. We heard some of the siren noises. We thanked everyone for their service before we left the station.

Another memorable moment was when the officers let us ask questions about their daily routines and experiences. Some students asked about the scariest moments they had faced, while others wondered how they stay positive when things get tough. The officers shared stories about helping people in emergencies and working late nights to keep the community safe. Hearing these real-life examples made me appreciate how much effort goes into protecting our neighborhood, and it taught me that bravery doesn’t just mean chasing criminals—it means caring for people and making difficult decisions every day.

When we got back, we ate pizza, which was the best part for some of us. Then LG, our teacher, told us he didn’t really like our essays and didn’t like us doing these kinds of things. That made us feel a little bad but to also be responsible for what we needed to do. At the end of the day, we had to memorize our Salat Memorization sheets before we finally went home. I didn’t do so well and LG told me that I would be suspended from this program if I kept slacking on the parts I didn’t memorize.

Overall, the field trip was fun, and I learned a lot about what police officers really do. I also learned that I need to be responsible for my own successes, which is optional for those who want to succeed in the leadership program. This lesson from the field trip taught me to never be scared to talk with the police and share any stress or problems they can resolve.
