Today I got to class, and the teacher told me right away to test out the pledges. I messed up, so he told me to go do my prayer that we are supposed to do every day. I felt a little nervous because I wanted to do well, but I took a deep breath and focused on my prayer. After that, I tested out my two pages, and I passed, which made me feel relieved and proud of myself. The teacher then told me to work on a new dua, and I was excited to learn something new. After that, he told us we were going on a trip to the police station, which was unexpected and made everyone start talking and wondering what we would do there.
When we arrived at the police station, we sat in a room and waited for the rest of the class to arrive. The room was bright, and there were posters on the walls about safety and community service. While we waited, we talked quietly among ourselves, curious about what was going to happen next. Soon, a female police officer came in and started asking us questions like what we want to do when we grow up and what schools we want to go to. It was interesting to hear everyone’s answers, and the officer listened carefully to each person. After a little while, the rest of our class finally got there, and the male police officer started the presentation. He began by telling us that the police station was recently renovated and explained what kind of work they do there every day.
The officer started talking about his uniform and how they have a vest that is bulletproof, which they have to wear at all times. He also mentioned that police officers have a belt with all their tools on it, like a taser, pepper spray, baton, and a gun. He let us see the belt up close and explained what each tool is used for and why it is important. The officers said that they used to have all their tools on their belts, and it would hurt their backs, but now they have special gear to help make it easier to carry everything. I learned a lot about what police officers do and how hard their job can be. The visit made me appreciate their work even more, and I was glad we got to ask questions and learn from them.
