2025 Dec 21 -RB M12 WSES Week

[R.B M 12 WSES 12/21/2025

Today in Sunday school, almost the entire day was a revision class. Most of what we did was a review of things we already knew, but it helped us remember the most important points. One of the main things we reviewed was accountability, which means being responsible for what we do at all times.

We also went over common sense and universal values. My teacher gave an example about having a beard. Back then, people didn’t have tools to shave, so they had beards. He told us that we shouldn’t take every single word in the Quran exactly literally. He explained that some parts of the Quran are telling you exactly how to do things, while other parts are giving you the general idea. We should use common sense to find the main points instead of trying to follow every single word word-for-word.

The News Today
Even though today was mainly a review, we talked about what happened in the news this week. We learned that a Muslim killed a Jew, but then we learned about another Muslim who saved the Jews. We also talked about Jake Paul getting 17 million dollars to have someone break his jaw.

After words we went over to words

Regrets

Reverence

We also reviewed that if you have a firm belief in Allah, your body will not degree.

Shaitan and the Tilting Road
We talked about how Shaitan’s job is to mess with our minds. My teacher gave an example of a road that starts out flat. The more you give Shaitan a chance to mess with you, the more the road tilts. If you keep giving him chances, it just keeps tilting more. But we learned today that Allah gives us the strength to overcome Shaitan and his tricks.

Critical Thinking and Musical Chairs
We reviewed critical thinking, which is the fastest way to reach a goal with what you have. We used the example of musical chairs. This represents jumping into different things when you aren’t supposed to. For example, if you want to be a dentist, but you start studying knees or elbows, you are jumping into things that don’t help you. You have to stay focused on what you are actually trying to learn.

S-Bucks and Forgiveness
We talked about S-Bucks, which are spiritual dollars. You get an S-Buck every time you do something good. My teacher said he teaches us to receive S-Bucks, and he reminded us that people who help others get good things in return.

Finally, we reviewed levels of forgiveness. The first is Allah who always forgives and second are people who can choose to forgive you. We learned that if you forgive someone, you are the person who benefits from it.

Since today was almost all a review, it was a good way to make sure we remember how to use our common sense and stay focused on our goals.
