We call this the GISLA INITIATIVE

This initiative is managed by a by an attorney who is a graduate of Harvard and Georgetown (we invite other IVY League graduates to assist with this initiative –  Our program is now in its 14th year (give or take..)

This program is designed for the American Muslim Teenager and College Student who has very high potential/goals and who needs a little help achieving them.  We will also ensure that all our graduates are proficient with the Core/Basic Set of Islamic beliefs, skills, practices, rituals and values.

We focus on developing students who are in or want to want to apply to IVY league schools and who want to be Leaders and Achievers and who want to hold onto Islamic Values and precepts.

This program emphasizes the benefits/requirements, values/merits/etc.  of being a leader

This program also emphasizes the need to hold onto Divine Universal Values

This program is conducted in an Islamic Sunday School Setting and uses the Quran as the primary source for Guidance

This program emphasizes quality not quantity and requires students to know the meaning in English of anything you memorize in Arabic.

This Program employs tools such as push ups, penalties, movies (Moozlim, Four Muslims, Allah Made me Funny), pizza and more as both rewards and disciplining tools.

We have an extensive Islamic Library in English which students are expected to take advantage of.

This program uses guest speakers to motivate students whenever possible. (Please contact us if you feel you can help in this regard.)

This program visits with Churches, Temples, Synagogues and other places of interest as part of the curriculum.

(This Academy is NOT a traditional Islamic Sunday School. We do not teach Arabic nor does we teach students how to read the Quran in Arabic. All our seminars are conducted in English. )

IN SUMMARY: The GISLA INITIATIVE attempts to develop leadership skills in it’s students AND it emphasizes MASTERY of the Islamic Skill set needed to practice Prescribed Rituals AND it constantly emphasizes the need to uphold Divine Quranic Value with Belief and Sincerity.

WE WANT OUR GRADUATES TO KNOW WHAT IT IS TO BE THE GUARDIANS OF THEIR SURROUNDINGS (KHALIFAS)
