Amina 5-13-2012 Thank you mommy for all the things you have done for me. I may not express it all the time, but I truly am grateful and I don’t know what I would do without you in this world. I am also extremely grateful that you decided to stay home and take care of me most importantly and the other kids. I know you gave up your career to take care of us, and I don’t know where I would be without your love, attention and support as a child. You mean the world to me because we have always been partners in crime. You gave up everything for us and I plan to give everything back and more in return. Again, I don’t know where I would be without you in my life and I pray that inshallah we will have many more years to come together. You are so special to me because you love me with all your heart and that you decided to travel with us to Jakarta. We are like best friends and I see a lot of people at school who aren’t close to their mom and it’s very shocking for me to know they haven’t experienced what I’ve experienced. In the future, I can only hope to become half the woman you are today. I wish I could do for you what you have done for me. Inshallah we can go to Dubai together and shop till we drop, like yesterday. I hope you have the best mothers day because you deserve it all. All of the times you let me skip band and PE, you truly are the best. Even though I get blamed for everything sometimes. I still love you and thank you for everything. -Amina

Haris Dear Mother, Words can’t describe multitude of things you done for me. You have nourished and groomed me for as long as I can remember and I don’t know who else I have been more dependent on. You mean the world to me and I hope I can build a future where I can build a future that will make you proud because you are the most important person to me in this world. You are a special person in my life whom I wish to make proud and happy. Everyday, I contemplate the wrong I have done to you and wish that they have never happened, but at the same time, I admire and appreciate the considerate response and feedback you gave me because without your feedback i would have grown up to be cruel and unappreciated about the important things in life; including you. Furthermore, I would just like to tell you that I wish I could do for you what you have done for me; but I can’t. There are no tasks at hand that I can accomplish to repay everything you’ve done for me. So all in all, there is no way I can pay you back, but my plan is to show you that I understand. Thank you mom for everything you have done for me. From nursing me as a baby to making sure I have everything I need to stay healthy and happy, to making sure I am prepared for college, you have done a great job. There is nothing more I could ask from you because you do everything so perfectly. You mean the world to me and there is nothing and no one that could replace you. Because of you I am able to do so many great things. I was able to do so well in Elementary school because of the extra help you gave me even with a full time job. I was able to make it to every Soccer, Karate and Football practice because you took the extra time out of your day to make sure I was able to do everything I liked to do. Because of your efforts I am such an active and fit person today. Because of all your efforts I was able to do so well all throughout my years in Elementary, Middle and now High School. I am sure you know what day it is but I just wanted to say, Happy Mothers Day! And I also wanted to thank you. Thank you for everything you have done for me. Thank you for all the amazing food you cook and bake for me. I would’ve starved if it weren’t for you. Thank you for raising me into person I am today. Thank you for being there for me and for getting me through all the hard times. Thank you for being around when I needed you the most. I know I will never be able to thank you enough, but I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate you. You don’t know how much you mean to me. You are so important to me, I would do anything you ask of me. You mean the world to me. I don’t know what I would do without you in my life. You probably think that I would be just fine without you. That I could do and make it through anything without you by my side, but I cant, Im not ready to lose you yet. Shahmad 05-13-2012 Dear Mom,
Thank you so much for being a wonderful mother. Thank you for being there for me everytime I needed you. You mean everything to me and I can’t thank you enough for all the sacrifices you made not just for me but for the entire family. Thank you for staying up with me when I was in those “ratchet” hospitals when I was little and thank you for always coming to school whenever one of us forgot our homework or projects. I really appreciate all those times you made me laugh until cried or when we would watch one show and end up watching TV for hours on end and blaming each other afterwards. Thank you for always being the understanding one when I was being yelled at by dad about school and helping me get out of trouble. I really wish that one day I could do for you what you have done for me. Don’t worry when you get older you can stay with me not Amna, Zak or Eman because you know why. I know you have done a lot for us and sometimes it seems like we don’t appreciate it but we really do… Well I do at least. Without you I am pretty sure this would have been a communist family so thank you for always being understanding and patience towards us. I really don’t think anybody is as strong as you regarding the things you have to put up with all the time (hitler). One day I hope I can be as patient and strong as you are. I am going to miss you when you move back to Indonesia but thank God for skype. You better tape your phone to your hand or something. Thank you so much being a great momma and my best friend. Dear Mom, You already know that I love you– I tell you every day. There’s no doubt about it. I think what you don’t know is exactly why. I won’t list out all the reasons (there’s a whole lot and I think it would take a while to list them out).
Instead, I’ll just tell you a few. One reason is that you are the best role model I ever could have had. I have never met another woman as strong and caring as you. I always know that whatever you set your mind to, you will achieve. I have always grown up wanting to be just like you, and I hope someday that will come true.
Another reason is because no one could’ve guided me better in this world than you. You’ve always been one of my best friends, and I can always talk to you about anything that’s going on in my life, and you’ve never failed in trying to help me out and find the best solution to a problem.
I also think you’re social skills are actually wild. I would love to be as good with people as you are(I think I’m getting there), but I guess right now I’m in training?
Another thing is your amazing fashion sense. I’m so glad you raised me to dress well cause otherwise, I would dress like a trashcan. You taught me how important it is to always try look nice or decent wherever I go, and to dress for myself and nobody else.
Also, although I always act like I don’t want you at school events and involved in my school stuff I might be kind of glad that at least you’re showing some interest in my life. I still don’t like having my parents show up at school stuff, but you’re pretty cool so I guess it’s okay when you do it.
I know I’m not super great at writing sappy stuff(leave those to sis), but I honestly feel like I don’t even have to go all out cause you already know(if you don’t then I’m not doing anything right).
I love you and how close we are, because I know lots of people can’t say the same, and I know you deserve nothing less to be super happy all the time, and you already know I’d do anything I needed to do to make it happen.
And yes, I am well aware that the reasons I gave weren’t even the super awesome ones, but I figured you already knew about those, so I wanted to let you know about the stuff you may have overlooked while going through your list in your head on why you’re such an awesome mom.

Dear Ammi, I hope you are doing well. On the occasion of Mother’s Day; which is celebrated in the world on May 13th each year in order to acknowledge and thank our mothers for their hard work, efforts, support, courage, guidance and endless hours they spend with us to raise us and make us better human beings, I just wanted to write few sentences. As you know, children are the gift to parents from Allah and it is the duty of parents to raise them well. In my opinion, every day should be Mother’s Day because we can’t thank our mothers enough in one day.
Ami, I know no one loves me more than you because you have given birth to me and Allah has put love in your heart for me which is the purest form of love. Moreover, I know that you love me unconditionally. One of my Professor use to tell us that with your mother’s prayers you can get anything in this world and I have firm belief in this thing that if I will work hard and request you to pray for me then Allah will accept your prayers.
You know Ami, I …..and I wanted to request you to pray for me because I need your prayers, every day. When Allah wanted to tell his mankind that how much he loves us then he himself compared his love to the love of our mothers because he wanted to let us know that He loves us seventy times more than our mother’s love; which is one of the sincerest form of love.
Ami, Allah told Prophet Moses to be careful, after his mother died because no one was there to pray for his safety. This incident reflects the significance of our mothers and their prayers in our lives. I am thankful to Allah for blessing me a gift in the form of you and I plan to perform Sajdah-e- Shukar in front of Allah to thank him for blessing me with this gift. Our mothers pray for us whenever we are in a difficult stage of life and we know that Allah will listen to the prayers of our mothers and hence we become satisfied and contented once we know that she prayed for us. I know, you are sad because of me but I want you to be brave and take care of your health because you are the most important and valuable asset to me and I need you to be happy and healthy in your life. ….. Till then I need you to stay strong and healthy because I am concerned about your health. Last but not the least, I just wanted to say that I love you every day and I miss you so much.
