I walked into the classroom at around 9:40, which is late. Teacher LG said to tell him what the fourth pledge is. I don’t really know that pledge very well but he told me. He asked me to do this because I turned in my essay 2 days late last week. Therefore, he said I was suspended and could not come inside until he said I could.
For the first hour we were just going over our homework. I dont know why but i am still sometimes messing up on some surahs sentence by sentence even though i already know it very well. After about 15 minutes he let me back inside the classroom. Everyone else had to stand up for the whole hour but LG didn’t make me stand because I am the most ahead in class.
After we finished going over our homework and testing it we got our pizza and while we were eating LG waited for us to take a first bite and then he asked us if we said Bismillah. and then he asked Why we say Bismillah. D raised his hand and said because it feeds our soul and our body. When you don’t say Bismillah it still nourishes your body but it doesn’t feed your soul at all and it doesn’t benefit your soul.
And then LG brought up the fact that my brother D came wearing shorts and how we’re not supposed to wear shorts and inappropriate clothes in a mosque. For example we wouldn’t wear what we wear to the swimming pool to the mosque or to a funeral. you don’t wear a hoodie to a mosque or in a place like that because it would make you look like you would want to hide your face and not want anyone to see who you are, meaning that you are a bad person trying to cause bad things.
We talked about how you should have shame. For example if you don’t do your homework in one class and then your teacher tells you not to do it again and then you come to class you should and you haven’t done your homework you should be ashamed, not afraid and not scared. The same as for when Allah asks you to do something and you don’t do it you should also be ashamed.
And then the president of the Jammah came. When he first came in he said that we need to smile. He said this because the Prophet Muhammad was always smiling. Therefore, smiling is a sunnah. When you smile at makes others happy or you come off as friendly to them. When you smile you’re confident and you can only be confident in your grades or subject if you do your homework and study. You need to speak like a leader, you need to project your voice.
He talked about how when he was in school his teacher gave him a topic and told him to make a presentation about it that lasts 2 minutes. This brought us into the topic of our 10-minute presentations that we’re going to do. Everybody stood up and told their topics to the teacher and the class.
He also talked to us about time management. He said that we should still play games, but also do all of our work. He said that Allah told us to love one person the most, and then he asked us who it was. I thought he was talking about our parents but then somebody answered, “prophet Muhhamed” .
Another thing we talked about is reading and traveling helping our IQ. Traveling is not meant in a literal manner. He means time traveling with the books. Books are set throughout history. Reading obviously helps us with IQ because we become more knowledgeable.
Before Dr F left we talked about what happened in the world news this week. I raised my hand and I said that Hamas agreed to release israeli hostages. I knew this because while I was in the hospital, on the TV the news was on so it reminded me of how we need to know what happened in the world. O went next and talked about how there is a new upadate in mincraft that adds new mobs and other stuff. And then, D went and said that tyrie kill has torn his ACL. nobody else knew something to say so LG gave us hints. Nobody knew what happened in birmingham so he told us that on the jewish holday; Yom Kippur, 2 people were killed. He asked what ICE is and D raised his hand, stood up and explained “ICE is a group of people that deport immigrants that are illegally in the U.S. . LG was surpised that no one knew about the guy that has birds and other animals on his shoulder just because they love him. I have never heard of him either. Lastly, i raised my hand, stood up and then explained about the Bad Bunny news. Bad Bunny is an artist and he is performing at the superbowl next year. Trump said he was going to deport him even though he is peurto rican which is an American territory.
After Dr F left, LG told H to explain everything that Dr F told us to someone who wasn’t paying attention (M). he left out some things so we helped him by correcting him.
We disscused common sense and how a lot of Prophet Muhhammed’s teachings could be concluded by common sense. For example, nobody needs to tell you to smile; you should do it anyways. More common sense examples are things like setting up a gmail account and downloading instagram. You figure out things like this by yourself very easily.
LG asked “what is a leader?”. D stood up and gave some traits of a leader. But if hitler had those traits, does that make him a good leader? He has good leadership skills but we was not a good person. LG told us to name some modern day hitlers. We said DT, Kim Jong Un and the president of israel.
I don’t know the name of the person that said this but he said that some leaders have done good stuff and bad stuff. The good stuff should be more than the bad. If the bad is more, that is a bad person.
LG gave everyone his phone with the prophet’s sermon on it and everyone had a turn reading it. He said to pretend that we are talking to one thousand people without a microphone. Nobody got it completely right. The right way was to pause in between sentences to make sure everyone can register what you are saying into their brains.
After we finished with that LG told us that whoever can juggle two ping pong balls gets to play ping pong. Nobody could do it and then class was dismissed. Everybody left and me and D were waiting for our mom to come while we were testing one last time for the day. Finally, my mom came and we left.
